Remove and clean the air filter
Vacuum dust from the filter if reusable
Wash the filter with mild soap and water if needed
Let the filter dry completely before reinstalling
Open the front panel and remove visible dust
Clean the evaporator coils with a soft brush or coil cleaner
Straighten bent coil fins with a fin comb if necessary
Clean the condensate drain line with a brush or vinegar solution
Wipe the blower fan and interior surfaces with a damp cloth
Clean the outdoor condenser unit by removing debris around it
Rinse the condenser fins gently with low-pressure water
Keep the area around the unit clear for airflow
Reinstall all parts securely
Restore power and test the air conditioner
Schedule professional maintenance if the unit is heavily dirty or not cooling properly
