Open Journey Mode inventory
Obtain the item normally
Put the item into Research
Reach the required research amount
Duplicate the item from the duplication menu
Use multiplayer and trade with another player
Use the in-game shop system for purchasable items
Farm the enemy, boss, or event that drops the item
Open chests, crates, and loot bags for random items
Use fishing for fishing-exclusive items
Use crafting with the required materials
Use NPC services like the Goblin Tinkerer, Witch Doctor, or Clothier for special items
Use the Dye Trader, Traveling Merchant, and other rotating NPC inventories
Use the Extractinator for certain materials and rewards
Use the Angler rewards for fishing gear
Use the Old One’s Army and other event rewards
Use the Pylons and biome-specific farming for biome items
Use a world with the needed progression already unlocked
Use a mod or external item editor only if allowed on your platform and server
