Preheat the grill to medium heat
Place the brats on the grill over indirect heat
Grill for 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally
Move brats over direct heat for 2 to 3 minutes to brown the outside
Cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°F
Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes
Serve on buns with desired toppings
