Start with dry, fully detangled hair
Apply heat protectant to all hair
Divide hair into sections (clip top layers up)
Set flat iron to the lowest effective temperature for your hair type
Take a 1–2 inch section of hair
Clamp the flat iron near the roots (avoid pulling the hair)
Twist the flat iron 180–360 degrees away from your face
Keep tension on the hair and slowly glide the iron down the length
Release the curl and let it cool in place
Repeat on each section, alternating twist direction for a natural look
For tighter curls, use smaller sections and twist more
For looser waves, use larger sections and fewer twists
Once all sections are curled, let hair cool completely
Gently separate curls with fingers or a wide-tooth comb
Set with light hairspray for hold
