Back up your Chromebook data
Check whether your Chromebook supports Linux
Turn on Developer Mode if required
Open Chromebook Settings
Go to Advanced
Select Developers
Turn on Linux development environment
Follow the setup prompts
Choose your Linux username and disk size
Wait for the installation to finish
Open the Linux terminal
Update Linux packages with the package manager
Install the Linux apps you want
Restart the Chromebook if needed
