2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz simple syrup
8 to 10 fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
Fresh mint sprig for garnish
Gently muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup in a julep cup or glass
Add the bourbon
Fill the glass with crushed ice
Stir until the outside of the glass becomes frosty
Add more crushed ice if needed
Garnish with a mint sprig
Serve immediately
