Plug in the Chromecast to your TV’s HDMI port
Connect the Chromecast power cable to a power outlet
Turn on the TV and select the correct HDMI input
Download and open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet
Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want Chromecast to use
Sign in to the Google Home app with your Google account
Tap Add, then Set up device, then New device
Select your home and follow the on-screen setup steps
Confirm the code shown on your TV and mobile device
Choose the Wi-Fi network and enter the password
Wait for the Chromecast to finish connecting and updating
Rename the Chromecast if prompted
Test casting from a supported app by tapping the Cast icon
