Choose a design and size
Cut cord, chain, or material to the desired length
Attach the charm, beadwork, or decorative piece to a jump ring
Open the jump ring with pliers
Slide the charm and keychain ring onto the jump ring
Close the jump ring securely with pliers
Add extra decorations if desired
Check that all parts are firmly attached
Test the keychain on keys or a bag
