Growth on the skin that is usually rough, uneven, or cauliflower-like
Small, firm bump with defined edges
Often skin-colored, tan, brown, or gray
May have tiny black dots (clotted capillaries) within the surface
Can be flat, especially on the face or hands (flat warts)
May grow in clusters (especially on hands and feet)
Common locations include fingers, hands, elbows, knees, and soles of the feet
On the sole (plantar wart), may appear painful when pressing from the sides
May have interrupted skin lines over the spot (more typical of warts than calluses)
Can spread through direct contact or by shaving/cutting the skin
More likely if there’s a history of warts or exposure through shared surfaces (e.g., locker rooms)
