Choose a healthy aloe plant with offsets or a mature leaf
Remove the plant from its pot if separating offsets
Gently brush away soil to expose the roots and pups
Twist or cut off offsets with some roots attached
Let cut offsets or leaves dry and callus for 1 to 3 days
Fill a pot with well-draining cactus or succulent mix
Plant the offset or callused cutting shallowly in the soil
Keep the soil dry for a few days after planting
Place the pot in bright, indirect light
Water sparingly only after the soil is completely dry
Wait for new growth before increasing watering slightly
