How To Repot Orchids?

Water the orchid a day before repotting

Choose a pot with drainage holes

Select fresh orchid potting mix

Remove the orchid from its old pot

Gently shake off old medium from the roots

Trim dead, mushy, or rotted roots with sterilized scissors

Remove dead flower spikes if needed

Place the orchid in the new pot

Add fresh potting mix around the roots

Keep the crown above the medium

Do not pack the mix too tightly

Water lightly after repotting

Place the orchid in bright, indirect light

Avoid fertilizing for a few weeks

Monitor for new root growth
