Choose a large, sturdy grow bag with drainage holes
Place the bag in a sunny location
Fill the bottom with 4 to 6 inches of loose, well-draining potting mix or compost
Cut seed potatoes into pieces with at least one eye each, if needed
Let cut seed pieces dry for a day before planting
Place 2 to 4 seed potato pieces on top of the soil layer
Cover the seed potatoes with 3 to 4 inches of soil
Water lightly after planting
Add more soil as the plants grow, leaving the top leaves exposed
Repeat adding soil until the bag is nearly full
Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist
Feed with a balanced fertilizer if needed
Harvest when the plants yellow and die back
Tip out the bag and collect the potatoes carefully
