Select a healthy, mature plumeria branch
Use clean, sharp pruning shears or a knife
Cut a 12–18 inch section from the branch
Remove all leaves from the cutting
Let the cutting dry and callus for 5–14 days
Choose a pot with drainage holes
Fill the pot with a well-draining cactus or succulent mix
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone if desired
Insert the cutting 2–4 inches into the soil
Keep the cutting upright and stable
Water lightly after planting
Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight
Avoid overwatering until roots develop
Water only when the soil is mostly dry
Transplant into a larger pot or ground after strong root growth develops
