Keep your BSNL SIM active and have the SIM card number ready
Ensure your BSNL number is not under any active lock-in or pending dues
Get a valid Aadhaar card or other accepted ID proof
Visit the Jio online porting page or use the MyJio app
Choose the option for mobile number portability
Enter your BSNL mobile number and service details
Generate the UPC by sending an SMS from your BSNL number to 1900
Note the UPC received by SMS
Submit the UPC along with your personal details on the Jio portal
Select a Jio plan and SIM delivery option if available
Complete KYC verification online or at the time of SIM delivery
Keep your current BSNL SIM active until porting is completed
Wait for the porting confirmation SMS from Jio
Insert the Jio SIM after the BSNL network stops working
Restart your phone and verify Jio network activation
