Right-click the Java updater or installer file
Select Run as administrator
If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes
Enter an administrator username and password if required
If the updater is already open, close it first and reopen it using Run as administrator
If there is a shortcut, right-click the shortcut and select Run as administrator
If needed, open Command Prompt as administrator and run the Java updater from there
To always run it as administrator, right-click the file or shortcut, select Properties, open Compatibility, and check Run this program as an administrator
Click Apply and then OK
