Cool sourdough completely before storing
Store at room temperature in a paper bag, bread box, or wrapped in a clean kitchen towel for 1 to 2 days
For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil and place in an airtight bag or container
Freeze sliced sourdough for easy thawing and use
Keep sourdough away from heat, sunlight, and moisture
Reheat or refresh stale sourdough in the oven before serving
Avoid refrigerating sourdough unless necessary, since it can dry out faster
Store cut-side down on a cutting board for short-term storage if needed
