Gather your hair into the desired style
Hold the French hair pin with the curved side facing the head
Insert one end of the pin into the hair near the base of the style
Twist or fold the hair slightly if needed to create tension
Push the pin through the hair and scalp-side layer to secure it
Angle the pin so it catches hair from both sides of the style
Slide the pin in until the style feels firmly held
Adjust the pin position if the hair feels loose
Use a second pin if extra support is needed
Remove the pin by gently sliding it out in the opposite direction
