Gather at least 10 obsidian blocks
Place 4 obsidian blocks vertically for one side
Place 4 obsidian blocks vertically for the other side
Connect the tops and bottoms with 2 obsidian blocks each
Leave the center empty
Light the inside bottom of the frame with a flint and steel or fire charge
Enter the activated portal to travel to the Nether
