Turn on formatting marks (Home > ¶).
Delete the paragraph mark (press Backspace or Delete) on the blank page.
If the blank page is caused by an extra page break: delete the page break (show ¶, then remove the “Page Break”).
If the blank page is caused by a section break:
Show ¶
Click in the blank page area
Remove the section break (delete the “Section Break (Next Page)” or similar)
Check Home > Paragraph > Line and Paragraph Spacing and adjust if needed
Check for an extra blank paragraph created by a table:
Click inside the table or near the blank space
Delete extra rows or the last empty row
If it’s caused by a large spacing setting:
Select the paragraph before the blank page
Home > Paragraph dialog launcher > Spacing
Set Before/After to 0 pt (or reduce)
Set Line spacing to Single (or desired value)
If it’s caused by “Keep with next” / “Page break before”:
Select the paragraph before the blank page
Home > Paragraph dialog launcher > Line and Page Breaks
Uncheck “Page break before” and adjust “Keep with next” if needed
If the blank page is inside a text box or shape:
Click the shape/text box on the blank page
Delete the shape or remove the extra content
Check headers/footers:
Double-click header or footer
Ensure “Different First Page” / “Different Odd & Even Pages” aren’t creating an extra page
Delete any content causing the extra height
If it’s caused by a large image:
Select the image on the blank page
Delete it or adjust wrapping/size (Layout options)
If nothing else works:
Copy the content from the page before the blank page to the end into a new document
Delete the original document content and paste back, keeping only the needed pages
