Wash the zucchini thoroughly
Trim off both ends
Slice, dice, grate, or halve lengthwise as needed
Remove seeds if the zucchini is very large
Pat dry if you want better browning
Season with salt, pepper, and herbs if desired
Cook by sautéing, roasting, grilling, steaming, baking, or eating raw
Avoid overcooking to keep it from becoming mushy
