Insert the SD card into your Mac using the built-in slot or an SD card reader
Open Disk Utility
Select the SD card from the sidebar
Click Erase
Choose a format
Choose a name for the SD card
Select Scheme if available
Click Erase to reformat the card
Wait for the process to finish
Click Done
Eject the SD card safely from Finder or Disk Utility
