Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
Tap Music
Turn off Automatic Downloads
Open the Apple Music app
Go to the song, album, or playlist you want to manage
Tap the download icon only if you want to save it offline
On Mac, open the Music app
Go to Music in the menu bar
Click Settings or Preferences
Turn off Automatic Downloads
On Windows, open iTunes or Apple Music for Windows
Go to Edit or the app menu
Open Preferences
Turn off Automatic Downloads
To stop existing downloads, open the Downloads section in Apple Music
Remove any downloaded music you no longer want stored offline
