How To Clean Mac Display?

Power off the Mac or disconnect external power

Unplug all cables connected to the Mac

Use a dry, soft, lint-free cloth (microfiber preferred)

Wipe the screen gently in one direction, then switch direction if needed

If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water only (do not spray liquid directly on the screen)

For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on the cloth (water-based cleaner if recommended by the display manufacturer)

Wipe gently until clean, using a fresh section of the cloth as it gets dirty

Dry the screen with a clean, dry microfiber cloth after damp cleaning

Clean the bezel and ports with a dry microfiber cloth

Use compressed air only for dust in vents/crevices (hold the can upright)

Avoid these materials: paper towels, tissues, rough cloths, abrasive cleaners

Avoid spraying any cleaner directly onto the display

Avoid getting moisture into openings (ports, speakers, camera area)

Avoid these chemicals: bleach, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, window/glass cleaners, aerosol sprays

Let the screen fully dry before powering on or closing the lid
