Unplug the humidifier
Empty the water tank and base
Disassemble removable parts
Rinse the tank and base with clean water
Wash the tank, base, and removable parts with mild soap and warm water
Use a soft brush or cloth to remove buildup
Rinse all parts thoroughly
Fill the tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water
Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes
Swish the solution around inside the tank
Scrub any remaining mineral deposits
Empty the vinegar solution
Rinse the tank and base several times
Wipe all parts dry with a clean cloth
Clean the filter if the model uses one
Replace the filter if it is dirty or worn out
Reassemble the humidifier
Refill with fresh water before use
Clean the humidifier regularly to prevent mold and mineral buildup
