Preheat air fryer to 360°F–400°F (182°C–204°C)
Pat chicken breast dry with paper towels
Season chicken with salt, black pepper, and optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, chili powder)
Optional: Lightly coat with olive oil or cooking spray
Place chicken in a single layer in the basket (do not overcrowd)
Air fry at 360°F (182°C) for 10–14 minutes, flipping halfway
For thicker breasts, air fry 12–18 minutes total (flip halfway)
Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part
Rest chicken 3–5 minutes before slicing or serving
Optional: If browning is light, increase to 400°F (204°C) for 2–3 minutes at the end
