Check the ports on your Mac and the screen
Use the correct cable or adapter
Connect the cable to the Mac
Connect the other end to the screen
Turn on the screen
Select the correct input source on the screen
Open System Settings on your Mac
Go to Displays
Adjust display arrangement if needed
Choose mirror or extend display mode
Set resolution and refresh rate if needed
