How To Cook Plantains?

Choose ripe or green plantains based on the dish you want

Wash the plantains

Cut off both ends

Slice the skin lengthwise

Peel off the skin

Slice the plantains into rounds, diagonals, or chunks

Heat oil in a pan for frying

Fry the plantain pieces until golden brown on both sides

Remove and drain on paper towels

Or boil plantain pieces in salted water until tender

Or bake plantain pieces on a greased tray until soft and browned

Or grill whole or sliced plantains until cooked through

Season with salt, spices, or sugar as desired

Serve hot
