Rinse the snow peas under cold water
Trim the ends and remove any strings if needed
Pat them dry
Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat
Add a small amount of oil or butter
Add the snow peas to the pan
Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender
Season with salt and pepper
Add garlic, soy sauce, or lemon juice if desired
Remove from heat and serve immediately
Steam the snow peas for 1 to 2 minutes if preferred
Boil water, add the snow peas, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes for blanching
Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking
Roast at 425°F for 8 to 10 minutes if desired
