Start with clean, dry hair
Brush hair straight down
Section off the bangs you want to cut (use a triangular or rectangle section)
Clip the rest of your hair away
Decide your length: cut slightly longer than your target first
Comb the bangs forward and hold them between your fingers at the desired length
Use sharp hair-cutting shears
Make small snips downward and slightly outward, keeping tension even
Cut a little at a time across the section, checking symmetry as you go
Release the bangs and let them fall naturally
Blend any uneven spots by trimming minimally
Add texture if desired: snip into the ends with the shears held vertically (lightly)
Check how they sit when dry; adjust with small trims as needed
Style and re-check under good lighting
Clean up stray hairs with tiny targeted trims
