Open your Canvas course
Go to the page, assignment, discussion, or announcement where you want to add media
Click Edit
Place your cursor in the Rich Content Editor
Click the Embed icon or the Media icon
Choose the media source or upload file option
Paste the embed code if required
Select the media file from your computer or Canvas media library
Click Add or Insert
Save or Publish the item
