Power off the PS5 and disconnect the controller
Remove any charging cable or accessories
Use a plastic pry tool to lift the rear shell seam near the grips
Work around the edges to release the clips
Carefully separate the back shell from the front shell
Disconnect the battery connector if needed
Remove the screws securing the internal frame
Lift out the battery and internal components as required
Keep track of all screws and parts
Reassemble in reverse order after servicing
