Connect the PS5 to an HDR-compatible TV or monitor using a high-speed HDMI cable
Use the TV or monitor HDMI port that supports HDR, 4K, or HDMI 2.0/2.1
Turn on the TV or monitor HDR setting if required
On PS5, go to Settings
Select Screen and Video
Select Video Output
Set HDR to On When Supported
Set Deep Color Output to Automatic
Set 4K Transfer Rate to Automatic
Set RGB Range to Automatic
Set 120 Hz Output to Automatic if supported
Go to Settings
Select Saved Data and Game/App Settings
Select Game Presets
Set Performance Mode or Resolution Mode as desired
Open the PS5 HDR Calibration screen
Adjust the three calibration screens until the symbols are barely visible
Save the HDR calibration settings
Launch an HDR-supported game
Enable HDR in the game’s video or display settings if needed
Adjust in-game brightness and HDR sliders if available
Update the PS5 system software
Update the TV or monitor firmware if available
Use Game Mode on the TV or monitor if available
Disable any picture settings that may interfere with HDR if needed
