Place the rack so the apex spot is at the front of the table.
Set the 8 ball in the center of the rack.
Place the 1 ball at the apex (top) spot.
Place the remaining 5 solid balls in the remaining solid positions.
Place the remaining 7 striped balls in the remaining striped positions.
Ensure all balls are tightly packed with no gaps.
Lower the rack straight down and lift it straight up.
Confirm the apex ball is at the apex spot and the 8 ball remains centered.
