Power off the iPhone
Remove the SIM tray
Heat the edges of the display to soften adhesive
Open the iPhone carefully with proper tools
Disconnect the battery connector
Remove the display assembly if needed
Remove adhesive strips or screws securing the battery
Lift out the old battery carefully
Install the new battery
Reconnect the battery connector
Reassemble the iPhone
Seal the display back into place
Power on the iPhone and test battery function
