Remove the batteries from the Roku remote
Unplug the Roku streaming device from power
Wait 10–20 seconds
Plug the Roku streaming device back in
Reinsert the batteries into the remote
Press and hold the pairing button on the back/bottom of the remote (if available) for about 3–5 seconds, or until the pairing light flashes
If your remote doesn’t have a pairing button: press and hold the Home button and the Back button at the same time for about 10–15 seconds, then release
Test the remote by navigating the Roku home screen
If it still doesn’t work: repeat the unplug/reinsert steps and try a different set of batteries
If pairing is required again: go to Roku Home screen > Settings > Remotes & devices > Set up a new device > Remote, then follow the on-screen prompts
