Open the Messages app.
Start a conversation with the person you want to send money to.
Tap the Apple Pay button (or the Apple Pay icon) in the conversation.
Choose the amount.
Confirm the payment details.
Review the payment method and required confirmation.
Send the payment.
Open Wallet.
Tap Apple Cash (if available).
Tap Send.
Enter the recipient’s name, phone number, or email.
Choose the amount.
Confirm with Face ID or Touch ID.
Tap Send.
Open the Settings app.
Tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
Confirm Apple Cash is set up and enabled.
Confirm your payment method is selected for funding (if prompted).
Verify the recipient uses Apple Pay with Apple Cash (where applicable).
Retry sending from Messages or Wallet.
If you don’t see Apple Pay in Messages, update iOS to the latest version.
Check that Apple Cash is available in your region.
Ensure you’re signed in with the correct Apple ID.
Confirm the recipient is using Apple Cash-enabled Apple Pay (where applicable).
Try again after updating and re-adding the recipient.
