Craft or find a beacon
Place the beacon on top of a solid base made of iron blocks, gold blocks, emerald blocks, diamond blocks, or netherite blocks
Build a pyramid with 1 to 4 layers under the beacon
Open the beacon interface
Place a valid payment item in the slot
Choose a primary power
Choose a secondary power if the pyramid is fully built
Confirm the selection
Keep the beacon unobstructed by solid blocks above it
Stay within the beacon’s range to receive the effect
Reopen the beacon interface to change powers later
