Pat turkey breast dry with paper towels
Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (optional)
Optional: Rub with olive oil or melted butter
Optional: Add aromatics to the pan (onion slices, garlic cloves, lemon wedges, thyme, rosemary)
Place turkey breast on a rack in a roasting pan, skin-side up (if applicable)
Roast until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part
Estimate roast time: about 18–22 minutes per pound (start checking earlier for accuracy)
Baste once or twice during roasting (optional)
Remove from oven and tent loosely with foil
Rest 10–20 minutes before slicing
Slice against the grain and serve
