Choose the pocket square size and fabric
Start with the square flat in front of you
Fold into a triangle by bringing one corner to the opposite corner
Crease firmly along the fold
Fold one of the triangle corners up to the top edge to form a smaller triangle
Fold the triangle again to create a compact rectangle or narrower triangle (optional)
Place the folded pocket square into your breast pocket with the desired height above the pocket
Adjust the shape by gently pinching and centering it so the edges sit evenly
For a classic puff (three-point) fold:
Start with the square flat
Fold it into a triangle
Fold the bottom corner up toward the top corner
Tuck and adjust so three points show above the pocket
For a flat presidential fold:
Start with the square flat
Fold into a triangle
Fold the triangle corners inward to the center
Fold the resulting shape into a compact rectangle
Insert into the pocket and smooth the top so it lies flat
For a one-corner fold:
Start with the square flat
Fold into a triangle
Fold the triangle once more to a shorter triangle
Insert so one corner shows above the pocket edge
For a two-corner fold:
Start with the square flat
Fold into a triangle
Fold one corner up slightly, then fold the other corner up to match
Insert and center so two corners are visible
