Use your iPhone or iPad with Find My
Open the Find My app
Tap Items
Look for an unknown AirTag or item
Tap Play Sound if it appears
Move slowly around the car to hear the sound
Check under seats
Check seat pockets
Check center console
Check glove compartment
Check under floor mats
Check trunk and spare tire area
Check door pockets
Check under the dashboard
Check inside the back seat area
Check around the cargo area
Use Precision Finding if available
Follow the on-screen distance and direction
If you get an alert about an unknown AirTag, tap Learn About This AirTag
Check the AirTag battery compartment if you find it
Remove the battery to disable it
If you cannot find it, inspect hidden areas near wiring or trim
Contact local law enforcement if you believe it was placed for stalking or tracking
Take the car to a mechanic or auto detailer for a thorough inspection
