How To Keep Strawberries Fresh?

Rinse strawberries only right before eating

Remove any damaged or moldy berries immediately

Store unwashed strawberries in a single layer in a breathable container

Line the container with paper towels to absorb excess moisture

Keep strawberries dry; avoid soaking

Do not seal in airtight containers or plastic bags

Refrigerate at 32–36°F (0–2°C)

Keep them away from ethylene-producing fruits (like bananas, apples, and melons)

Replace paper towels if they become damp

Eat within 3–7 days for best quality

Freeze for longer storage if you won’t eat them soon

To freeze, wash, dry thoroughly, remove stems, and freeze in a single layer before transferring to a freezer bag
