Open Instagram
Tap the Messages icon
Open the chat you want to clear
Tap the person’s name or chat details at the top
Select Restrict, Block, or Delete Conversation depending on what you want to do
To remove the chat from your inbox, go back to Messages
On iPhone, swipe left on the chat and tap Delete
On Android, press and hold the chat and tap Delete
To clear all chats, repeat the delete process for each conversation
To clear message requests, open Requests and delete them individually
