Insert the batteries into the Roku remote (or charge it if it has a rechargeable battery).
Turn on the TV and ensure it’s connected to the correct Roku input.
Make sure the Roku device is powered on and connected to the internet.
Press the Home button on the Roku remote to pair automatically (if prompted, follow the on-screen instructions).
If pairing is not automatic, press and hold the Home button for about 10–15 seconds until the pairing light flashes.
Wait for the Roku device to pair with the remote (the pairing light should stop flashing when connected).
If the remote has a Pairing button (some models), press and hold it until the pairing light flashes, then wait for the on-screen confirmation.
If pairing fails, restart the Roku device (unplug power for 10 seconds, plug back in) and try pairing again.
If the remote still won’t pair, confirm the remote is the correct model for your Roku device and try the steps again.
If you have a Roku Voice Remote, press the Microphone button and speak to confirm it’s working.
Test basic buttons (Home, Back, directional pad, OK/Select, Volume/Power if enabled) to verify control.
