How To Pull A Ingrown Hair?

Wash your hands and gently cleanse the area with mild soap and water

Apply a warm compress for 5–10 minutes to soften the skin

Do not squeeze, dig, or cut the skin

If the hair is visible near the surface, gently lift it with clean tweezers and pull it out in the direction of hair growth

If you can’t see the hair, stop and don’t force it

Apply a thin layer of antiseptic (such as chlorhexidine or povidone-iodine) after removal

Cover with a clean bandage if it’s open or irritated

Keep the area clean and dry and avoid shaving or friction until healed

Use a gentle exfoliant (like a soft washcloth or mild exfoliating product) once the skin is calm to help prevent recurrence

Seek medical care if there is increasing redness, swelling, warmth, spreading pain, pus, fever, or no improvement after 2–3 days

Seek urgent care if you have diabetes, poor circulation, a weakened immune system, or the infection is rapidly worsening
