How To Reduce Ping?

Restart your modem/router

Power-cycle your modem and router (unplug 30 seconds, plug in modem first, then router)

Move closer to your Wi‑Fi router or use a wired Ethernet connection

Use the 5 GHz or 6 GHz band instead of 2.4 GHz

Reduce Wi‑Fi interference (change router channel, move away from microwaves/cordless phones)

Place the router in a central, elevated location

Avoid bandwidth-heavy uploads/downloads while gaming

Close background apps and browser tabs using the network

Disable automatic updates on devices during play (OS, game launcher, cloud sync)

Use a VPN only if it provides better routing; otherwise disable it

Select a game server/region closer to your location

Enable QoS/Super QoS on your router (prioritize gaming/device)

Set a static IP for your gaming device (and enable DHCP reservation)

Ensure router firmware is up to date

Check for bufferbloat and enable Smart Queue Management (SQM) if supported

Increase available bandwidth or switch to a lower-latency ISP plan

Test with wired connection to isolate whether the issue is Wi‑Fi or ISP

Run a speed/latency test and report high latency or packet loss to your ISP

Replace damaged Ethernet cables or try a different port on the router/switch

Use a gaming router or dedicated modem if your current equipment is outdated

Limit simultaneous streaming/devices on your network during gameplay
