Sit upright and lean slightly forward

Chew gum or suck on lozenges
Try a decongestant if you can safely take one
Use a humidifier or breathe moist air
Massage the bridge of your nose and cheekbones
Avoid smoke, strong odors, and allergens
Sleep with your head elevated
