Rest 3–5 minutes before serving
Optional: simmer brats in beer or water 5–10 minutes, then grill 3–5 minutes per side to brown
Optional in a skillet: add brats to a skillet with 1/2–1 inch water or beer, simmer 8–12 minutes, then brown 3–5 minutes per side
Optional in the oven: bake at 400°F/205°C for 20–25 minutes, turning once, until 160°F/71°C
Optional in the air fryer: cook at 360°F/182°C for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway, until 160°F/71°C
