Separate leaves from stems (optional)
Gather leaves and stems into a small pile
Use a sharp knife and chop into small pieces
For finer cuts, use a rocking motion with the knife
For a very fine mince, gather chopped pieces and repeat chopping
If you want consistent size, chop stems and leaves separately, then combine
If using a food processor, pulse briefly until chopped to your preferred size
