Combine whole milk with melted unsalted butter
Use about 3/4 cup whole milk and 1/4 cup melted butter to make 1 cup heavy cream substitute
Whisk until fully blended and smooth
Chill before using if needed
Use immediately for cooking or baking
For whipping, add 1 tablespoon powdered milk per cup if desired
For a thicker substitute, blend whole milk with heavy whipping powder if available
