Check local call-recording laws before changing any announcement settings
Open the Phone app or call-recording app
Go to Settings
Find Call Recording, Recording, or Privacy settings
Turn off Announcement, Beep, or Auto-announce if the option exists
If no toggle exists, disable call recording entirely
On Android, check Phone app settings, Accessibility settings, and carrier settings
On iPhone, check the call-recording app settings, since iOS does not provide a native call-recording announcement control
If the announcement is carrier-managed, contact your carrier to request removal or a compliant alternative
If the announcement is required by law in your region, keep it enabled
